Crow on Owler Tor
This was inspired by a trip to the Peak District, where me and a photographer friend trekked down gorges and over craggy rocks, ate huge piles of chips in a local cafe and enjoyed some stunning scenery.
It was the end of the day when we were sitting up on Owler Tor, drinking the last of our coffee and making the most of remaining daylight before we headed home that I spotted this crow, on one of the rocks. Using the long range lens, my friend kindly captured the moment for me. I was able to sketch from the photo back home in the studio.
Created in my sketchbook, using gouache, inks and coloured pencils.
