Hi, I’m Emma Carpendale, an illustrator and artist based in rural Northamptonshire, UK. My work is inspired by the quiet beauty and magic of the natural world, and the power of art to deepen our connection to it.
Through gentle imagery and storytelling, I aim to spark reflection, inspire care, and contribute to a more hopeful, compassionate world.
I’m especially interested in nature-focused, environmentally conscious and conservation-themed projects, particularly those rooted in shared values of reverence for the natural world and quiet activism. I enjoy working on hopeful, purposeful stories that show how small actions can lead to meaningful change.
I’m available for commissions and collaborations with clients in the environmental charity, non-profit, and publishing sectors, as well as with organisations seeking to use art and illustration to communicate their values and connection to nature.
Alongside my illustration work, I support children’s literacy through a UK charity and run The Creative Flock, a warm, creative community offering drawing sessions, inspiration, and support for living a creative life.
When not in my studio, I like to explore the outdoors with my sketchbook and binoculars, pausing to notice birds, textures, and tiny natural wonders.
I’m currently open for commissions and enquires about art sales. To get in touch, please use the contact form, book a discovery call or email enquiries to: contact@emmacarpendale.co.uk
